Flash Fiction: Dim
The mortal loved the ocean. Each time that she dived beneath the waves, she embraced the waters of the mother with a smile. Her dark hair and white dress swirled around as she swam above in the sun dappled sea.
Hidden in the dim depths, Moria swam behind the mortal. She gripped the coral handle of her trident tighter. This dark task weighed heavier than the shield on her back. Aye, she had sworn her loyalty to the father but the son tested that bond with yet another twisted command. Kidnap the pearl diver in white.
Duty kept Moria tracking the mortal woman as she surfaced and descended again. Honor forced her to sheath her trident.
